Pristina, June 2, 2025 \u2013 President of the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, Dr. Savo Kentera, was a featured speaker at the panel \u201cWhat Comes Next? An Outlook on Global Security\u201d during the prestigious The International Forum for Women, Peace and Security (WPS Forum) held in Pristina.

Addressing an international audience, Dr. Kentera outlined eight key security challenges and strategic directions for the future of global stability, including:
– the need for strategic foresight rather than reactive action,
– redefining NATO\u2019s role in the age of hybrid threats,
– modernizing deterrence through a blend of hard power and narrative strength,
– revitalizing multilateralism amid growing geopolitical polarization,
– empowering women\u2019s role in peace processes,
– addressing localized and asymmetric conflicts,
– competing in the Global South through partnership rather than paternalism,
– and treating civilian protection as a core component of every mission.

\u201cWithout security for women and children, there can be no real stability. And without strategic resolve, there can be no true security,\u201d Dr. Kentera stated.

In conclusion, he emphasized that a new era of security is already underway \u2013 one where power must walk hand-in-hand with values, and unity must be more than a political phrase.

The panel featured high-level participants from NATO structures, civil society, academia, and global security experts.
