Conference under the title “Geopolitics in the Western Balkans: Regional Outlooks“, realized by the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation will be held on June 27 in hotel Ramada in Podgorica.

New rifts, confrontation lines, hot and frozen hotbeds appear, while the international institutional and legal framework is eroding. War is back again in Europe – not simply as a fact, but as a way of thinking: as a legal tool for tackling international conflicts. New, non-state actors appear on the international scene, making the play even more complex: refugee and migration wave, international terrorism, radical Islam.

Within this thematic framework, the conference is aimed at analyzing the geopolitical developments and their implications for the Balkans – recognizing regional positions and interests.
